As part of the 
Atlanta Bank’s Regional Economic Information Network she is responsible for economic intelligence gathering in the local business and academic community to support the Bank’s contributions to the monetary policy process.
Prior to joining the Federal Reserve, Karen was a long-time executive in banking in South Florida most recently serving in senior leadership roles at City National Bank of Florida in Miami, serving as executive vice president and senior lending executive from August 1998 to January 2009 responsible for all of the lending activities of the company. Karen assumed the position of chief risk officer from January 2009 to May 2010 with responsibility for credit and regulatory risk management for all business lines.
