The hedge fund space is losing ground...or so it seems.

Join us for a special discussion with Wharton Finance Professor and Founder of The Wharton School's Alternative Investments Initiative, Mr. Bilge Yilmaz on November 15 at Bourbon Steak, Turnberry Isle in Aventura.

Big players such as Carlyle Group are lowering their hedge fund investments from $15 billion to just $1 billion by the end of the year. Rhode Island and MetLife investors are also asking for their money back, leading to well over $50 billion exiting the industry. In the third quarter of this year, redemptions of close to $30 billion were the largest in the industry since the first quarter of 2009.

What does this capital outflow mean for the future of hedge funds and other alternative investments? Many say that transformation of structure or delivering returns may be the answer, more likely a combination of both. This new challenge will be on the shoulders of hedge fund companies and active managers to determine how to adapt to survive.

Let’s listen in on Professor Bilge Yilmaz’s over 20 years experience teaching and connecting to the private equity and hedge fund industry as it gears up for ultimate survival.

We have reserved a private room at Bourbon Steak in Turnberry Isle. Your ticket includes dinner and drinks ($150 value!). Special thanks to Matthew Storm, CV Advisors, for hosting this event.
